This course has been developed to improve basic writing skills and is recommended for anyone writing documents for external and/or internal consumption. Covering basic grammar, proper use of punctuation, correct tenses, commonly mistaken words, editing and proof reading – this ‘basics’ workshop goes back to the fundamentals and elementals of standard English and how to write in a more professional and readable style. It is designed to enhance writing skills for any document, media release or newsletter. Topics include:
• Basic punctuation
• Grammar and structure
• Using long and short words
• Active and passive voice
• Proofreading and editing
Start-finish time: 9.00am - 5.00pm
