Speechwriters rarely deliver their speeches, which is why speech writing is such a difficult skill to master. This course is for anyone who has to write speeches: from short ‘welcomes’ or 30 minute keynote addresses. This highly practical and specialised workshop also addresses the importance of planning and researching. Topics include:
• Planning a speech – research and resources
• Knowing your audience and managing expectations
• Knowing your speaker – familiar style and mannerisms
• Introduction, main body and conclusions
• Writing speeches for different occasions/events
Start-finish time: 9.00am - 5.00pm
